The neighbourhood

Rue du Cherche-Midi runs between Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Montparnasse, and is one of the better streets in Paris simply to walk down: bakeries, small shops and restaurants most of the way along it. The Jardin du Luxembourg and Le Bon Marché are both close.

Getting around

Vaneau (line 10), Duroc (lines 10 and 13) and Saint-Placide (line 4) are all within a short walk, and Montparnasse is reachable on foot for main-line trains.
